Heinz Designs New Fast Food Ketchup Lovers Package: The Dip & Squeezeâ„¢

Ketchup just makes all the difference to a burger and fries, but when it’s inaccessible, why bother?  I’m delighted now and plan to resume my unhealthy practice of sneaking out for a Double Whopper and fries… with plenty of Heinz Tomato Ketchup .  Heinz has dumped that old stubborn packet and has made the Dip & Squeezeâ„¢ ketchup packet that’s easy to open and holds three times more ketchup than the former little twerp packet.

Forget Everything You Know About Food: Philips Has Redesigned It

Yesterday, I wrote about the Electrolux Design Lab concept for 2050, Heart of the Home .  To give you an idea of how out there Heart of the Home is (and I mean that lovingly), the kitchen’s pots and pans are traced into existence with an index finger, and they don’t need to be washed or stored, just erased!  Now, wait until you see what Philips Design has cooked up for 2050!

Alcohol And Energy Drinks Make Dangerous Cocktails

Apparently the new trend in high(er) education is to combine alcohol with highly-caffeinated energy drinks.  Oh well.  But those in the University of Florida’s (UF) College of Public Health and Health Professions took an interest in studying the actual effects of this trend….

How’s This For Minimalism? The Chop Stick Wardrobe

What a clever and fun design is the Chop Stick Wardrobe.  Not created by an Asian, but by Swiss designer Andreas Saxer, who happens to be a design professor at the Chang-Geng University Taipei in Taiwan.  I’d say Saxer’s Chop Stick Wardrobe just may have been influenced by his stay on the Chinese island.

TED-Heads vs TED-Feds

The Annual TED Conference taking place February 9-13 in Long Beach, California has an elitism about it.  If you have $6000 to spend on an event – If you are an expert in the field of technology, entertainment or design – if you know how to deliver information in a new and innovative fashion – and of course there is that little matter about being invited – you might be worthy of  being considered a TED-Head with TED-Cred. If not, join the rest of us -  the club of TED-Fed D-Listers who can only witness the affair from afar, like a kid with no funds peering into the window of a candy store.

Chinese ‘Bandit’ Accuses Apple iPad Of Theft

Apple’s iPad is barely a few days old, and it’s already facing potential litigation. On the heals of China vs Google battling over censorship and Gmail hacking issues, Apple is having its own altercations with the Chinese. This time around, instead of debates with the government, Apple is being held up by bandits, literally.
